My time at Sears
was a few years ago now, and I regret to say that I haven't retained
any samples of my design work at that period. The story itself, however,
is
fascinating, and is detailed below.

I joined sears as a technical resource for the new online e-commerce group. I quickly became the only technical resource on our tiny team, and was handed the Craftsman e-commerce project. What started out as a team of 4, grew into one in the hundreds as e-commerce blossomed at Sears. |
|
The Craftman product was created using IBM's Net.Commerce e-commerce solution. I recoded the back end C++ modules, rescripted the interface, and delivered a stable alternative to the original version. Sears' adventure in e-commerce has begun. |
|
Shortly after Craftsman began showing success, I was given the Wishbook project. I used the owrk I had completed on the Craftsman project and re-purposed and enhanced it for the Wishbook solution. |
|
While the e-commerce projects continued to expand, I moved into enabling eCRM solutions, and became the technical manager for enabling eCRM solutions for the Customer Service Centers. This allowed me to have my first chance at working with the web on Windows, and to deliver XML driven User Interfaces to my customers. |
